Night Ride

There is just one but very special distance to be cycled in the Night Ride of 15 kilometers. The route promises to be very exciting. The Route starts from Old Town square of Kuldiga (Rātslaukums) near the Kuldiga Tourism Information Centre, Adress: Baznicas iela 5,  GPS: N 56° 58.068 E 021° 58.248  and will be finished at Ivande Manor House, GPS: N 57° 00.048 E 021° 45.474 where will be a Cyclist Night party for participants only (Day and Night riders). There also will be photo cafe as well as small events. 

After the Night Ride every participant will get the Certification of the finishing the Night Ride Cycling Academy. We call it Night Ride Academy because it will be needed a patience and a few cycling skills to cycle in the Night. 

Please note! We suggest You to get on You as more light as possible! Cycling lamp and Reflective Jacket is safety obligation! Without it Police will not allow You start the Night Ride! Last year about 20 cyclers were not allowed to ride.

All the Cycling events, e.g. Night Party are free of charge as well as a Cyclist Soupe after the Night Ride we’ll make together on the Camps Fire. So, You are welcome to enjoy the Cyclist Night Party in the Camp of Ivande Manorhouse.

Next day, 22nd May, participants could all together enjoy to use the half of the Long Route to return back to Kuldiga.

Please note! We suggest for Night Ride participants to stay overnight in Ivande Manor Park in tents or in Ivande Hostel dornitories. For the case, if You would like to go off after the Night Ride finish and do not stay overnight in Ivande, then You must return back to Kuldiga Your own way.

There are many free of charge Parking places around Old Town  You can stay Your car even at overnight. Kuldiga is a small silent cosy tourist town.

The Routes for the NIGHT RIDE:
The Night Ride 15km one dirrection consist from 50%asphalt/50%gravel roads.

Itinerary: from Kuldiga Old Town – turn to the Cycling street (Liepajas iela) – reach the New Town Square(Pilsetas laukums) – then ride to dirrection Īvande village – turn to old Railroad – next turn to the Kuldiga – Ivande road – and reach the Ivande manor House. The new Cycling Crosspoint signs will be located within all the route.

Please note: traditionaly it is not a cycling race! it is a fun ride for all loving bike and countryside!
